Bio: Amanda is a 36 year old GB Northern Maters Athlete who is based in Barnsley.

"I have always been active and played many different sports, until I found my real love for athletics at the age of 16.

Amanda works full time as a leisure supervisor and has recently started a PT business on her own. Amanda is a Level 3 Personal Trainer & Nutrition. She is a Level 4 specialising in Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Exercise Referral, Cancer Rehabilitation & Chronic Lower Back Pain. "I’ve worked in the industry for about 18 years and I’ve been a qualified PT for around 12 years."

"I personally see my specialty in strength and power training as well as speed and endurance as i been doing this training myself for over 20 years. You become some what of an expert, knowing what track sessions & weighted lifts improve athletic performance."

Amanda is a 100m and 200m sprinter who represents Wakefield Harriers. Her achievements include Yorkshire Champion or medalist in both events at every Yorkshire Championship. North of England medalist over 200m at almost every Championship every year indoor & outdoor. Amanda is currently ranked number 1 in the UK over the 200m in the Veteran 35 category and was hoping to become the European Champion this season over that distance but covid restrictions meant the event had to be cancelled.
